Coaching and Learning Strategies for Learning Disabilities (LD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

At this time, I offer individual coaching and learning strategies for college and university students presenting with learning disabilities and ADHD. I work collaboratively with clients to establish their goals and learning needs using a strengths-based and supportive approach. We will discuss what you feel are the most important goals you would like to work on during sessions. Goals can be varied and may include time management, organizational skills, studying at the college and university level, editing essays, building motivation and  maintaining attention, breaking down tasks into steps,  writing cover letters and resumes, reading textbooks, how to study for professional exams (e.g., MCAT), budgeting, completing household tasks, etc. Additionally, I assist with reviewing psychoeducational and ADHD assessment reports, reviewing appropriate accommodations, and discussing self-advocacy skills.

I understand the challenges that one can experience academically given my lived experience, and my training in school psychology. Understanding your learning needs and implementation of appropriate learning strategies can help to allay some of the stress you may be experiencing, and can help set the stage as you go forward in your academic career.
